Introduction Masayoshi Yamamoto (M’11) received the M.S. and Ph.D.
He received his PhD in Science and Engineering from Yamaguchi University, Japan, in 2000 and 2004 respectively. From 2004 to 2005, he worked at Sanken Electric Co., Ltd., Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

From 2006 to 2017, he served as an associate professor at the School of Interdisciplinary
Science and Engineering, Shimane University, Japan. He is currently a professor at the
Institute of Materials and Systems for Sustainability (IMaSS), Nagoya University, Japan.

His research interests include hybrid electric vehicle power supply (boost converter, buck converter, three-phase inverter, digital control), electric vehicle charging systems, tunnel
LED lighting systems, switching power supply EMI and wireless power transmission.
